Gore Mountain Skiing Just around the corner from your Adirondack

Enhanced snowmaking capabilities supplements the natural snow fall allowing the ski season to begin in mid-November and often last well into April! Gore Mountain offers skiers and snowboarders a variety of downhill trails for all skill levels, as well as offering
other Adirondack attractions including several cross country, snowshoe and backcountry trails. Ski lessons for all ages are available and several special events are offered throughout the winter season.
West Mountain
A short drive south is another Adirondack attraction: West Mountain,
located in Glens Falls, New York - is popular for its beginner and
intermediate slopes, tubing, nighttime skiing, and children and
group lessons. West Mountain offers 21 snowboarding and downhill New
York skiing trails on the Adirondack Mountains with great snowmaking and grooming capabilities.
Hickory Ski Center
An even shorter drive south is the small, but friendly, Hickory Ski Center in Warrensburg, New York. This unique ski and sport center is especially suited
for families, yet offers the 6th highest vertical drop in New York State. Nineteen trails offer alpine skiing, snowboarding, and
Telemark skiing as well as snow shoeing and sledding in an all-natural powder setting.
(Note - Hickory is currently closed. There is no word on when or
if this Adirondack attraction will reopen.)
Whiteface Mountain: New York Skiing

Whiteface Mountain located in the High Peaks of the
Adirondacks near Lake Placid, New York - home of the 1980 Winter Olympics. Whiteface Mountain boasts the largest vertical drop in the East at 3,430 feet. There are 73 trails, 10 lifts and over 215 skiable acres. 44% of the terrain is rated most difficult, making this a popular New York skiing destination for advanced and expert skiers. Whiteface
